How to export a list of users

Who can use this feature?

Only the Application Owner role can use this feature.

What is it?

You can export all users from your ITONICS account in an Excel file.

This can be helpful to check the activity of single users, as activity information will be exported alongside the user profile information.

How does it work?

You can either (1) simply export the entire user base, or (2) choose to filter down a specific user selection to be exported, i.e. to analyze specific user role assignments, etc.

To export all users (1), simply click “Export Users” without any filter selection applied. If you first filter down specific users, i.e. all Application Owners, and then hit the “export Users” button, the application will only export the narrowed down user selection.

Either way, to export, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Settings Wheel > User Management > All Users.
  2. Apply some filters to narrow down the user base, or choose to export all users.
  3. Click the button Export Users.
  4. A new window will open automatically. Here, you can choose whether to Export All users at once, or perform a Partial Export in batches.
    • Note that there is the possibility to define a threshold/limitation for the Export All functionality, as well as the size for the Partial Export batches, which must be configured by ITONICS. If exceeded, only the Partial Export option will be available for selection.

  5. The export will be prepared in the background and once ready, you’ll get a notification.
