User CSV sync

What is it?

In order to quickly add, update, or delete user data in your ITONICS platform, you can use the user CSV sync.

How does it work?

Please note: To make use of the User CSV Sync, the module must be activated and configured by ITONICS. Based on the configuration made, the import template structure must be created. For this purpose, please contact your Customer Success Manager to align on the initial baseline setup.

Once the module has been enabled and configured by ITONICS, go to Settings Wheel > User Management > User CSV Sync to open the User CSV Sync page.

User add/update

To add/update users, the upload template must be generated based on the configuration prior made in cooperation with ITONICS. An exemplary structure could be the following, which must be aligned with the configuration made prior, defining the user attributes:

Important Note: If there are special characters in the CSV file, the CSV file needs to be in UTF-8 format. This can be likely changed from the software you are using to create the CSV file, or i.e. be changed from the Notepad.

In the User CSV Sync page, toggle the Add/Update Users option and upload the previously created CSV file/template. Once the file is uploaded, click Submit to start the import process in batches.

User delete

To delete user data from your ITONICS system via the User CSV Sync/Import, the import template must have the following structure, listing all user email addresses that shall be deleted from your ITONICS system (Note: the CSV file for user deletion does not depend on the configuration made prior for the user attributes):

Further, instead toggle the Delete Users option in the User CSV Sync page, and again upload the CSV file/template to trigger the sync process in batches.

Logs

After having performed the User CSV Sync, via Settings > User Management > User Sync Information, navigate to the User CSV Sync List to trace back which CSV files have been synced (Added / updated / deleted) as per performed action.
