To set up your Radar, you need to:
- Define particular segmentation to categorize trends or technologies on the Radar (e.g. on technology focus fields). For example, for the automotive industry, this could be autonomous driving, AI, connectivity, etc. (1)
- Choose 3 to 6 maximum, meaningful rating criteria to evaluate the trends or technologies.
(Tip: Choose a balanced portfolio of internal and external rating criteria). (2) - Define the default visualizations of your Radar ratings (e.g. distance to the center, size, color, shapes). Pick easy-to-understand icons and colors to convey meaningful data quickly. (3)
- Categorize and evaluate the trends or technologies to put them on the Radar. (4)
